Not all health insurance companies use the same underwriting standards. As an agent, my experience has been that some companies are easier to insure with than others. If you’re low income, you can try for welfare insurance – medicaid. Or you can find it through an employer. Or, your state might have a high risk pool, but it usually costs WAY more than private insurance.
